Underneath my skin there is just discomfort and anxiety. It is a self-inflicted pain, the one that I try to peel off layer by layer, until I am completely exposed.
Skin Deep is an ongoing series that showcases minimalistic self-portraits and cuts to another set of images set in warmer tone to make the viewer travel through the emotional roller coaster that I experienced. The images set in the warmer tone are photographs of decayed, frozen and withered oranges and clementine that I was working on for over a year. It is a metaphor for what was going inside of me.
